Mysuru Gears Up for Dasara Book Fair 2025 with New Book Launches

As a part of the Mysuru Dasara festival, the Dasara Book Fair–2025 will be held from September 22 to October 1 at the Bharat Scouts and Guides Ground, Mysuru. Convened every year by the Kannada Book Authority, the book fair draws readers, authors, publishers, and culture enthusiasts.

Kannada Book Authority has made an announcement this year about a special facility for authors and publishers to launch their fresh publications at the fair, which will include extensive showcasing of books, exhibitions, sales, and literary events. Prominent literary figures and renowned writers will be releasing newly published titles at the event.

Interested writers and publishers across the State have been encouraged to pre-register themselves to make the most of this opportunity.

As a part of Mysuru Dasara celebrations, Dasara Book Fair–2025 will be held from September 22 to October 1 at Bharat Scouts and Guides Ground, Mysuru. Organized every year by the Kannada Book Authority, the festival draws book enthusiasts, writers, publishers, and cultural activists.

This year, the Kannada Book Authority has also made a special announcement for authors and publishers to launch their new books during the fair, where there will be an extensive showcase of books, exhibitions, sales, and literary events. A statement by Dr. Manasa, Chairman of the Kannada Book Authority stated that the applications need to be accompanied by a registration form and two copies of the book to be released. The authority clarified that books submitted should not have any objectionable content, and any legal conflict that arises from the book will be the author's or publisher's sole responsibility.

The last date for the submission of applications is September 16.

The organisers further made it clear that no financial reward, travel allowance or other facilities will be granted to participating authors or publishers.

The books that are chosen will be arranged to be released during the period of the nine-day book fair, and their release dates will be intimated to the concerned publishers and authors beforehand, the release further said.
